Getting Planted:

Now that we had created soil, it was time to PLANT! Our Warriors were keen to get these generous Awapuni bundles into their newly created garden beds.
Something for the bees: lavender seedlings going in.
Every garden day we have the privilege of being overwhelmed by up to 60 keen North Garden warriors, all asking "what can we plant today!": radish, carrots and spring onion seeds going in.
ALL gardens look better landscaped with specially chosen stones filling the spaces ...we can't wait until  our daffidol bulbs pop their cheerful heads up.
Today we learnt how to plant seedlings: make a hole, add water, place seedling, gently surround with soil, water again...then wait patiently!
Our garden vision is to create an edible impressionist garden that will explode with colour and flavour! We have chosen a range of edible flowers that will hopefully self seed and spread throughout our garden over time, we also have seasonal vegetables that we intend to rotate through the seasons, and hope to gradually add more young fruit trees. We shall enjoy watching this young artichoke gradually multiply.
